On June 20th, The Edmonton Elks unveiled Cleats of Strength presented by MHCare Medical, a fundraising initiative in support of the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. For each remaining Elks’ home game during the 2023 CFL regular season, an Edmonton player wore a one-of-a-kind pair of cleats designed by the player in collaboration with a patient from the Stollery Children’s Hospital and Métis footwear customizer Syngyn Sperling of Momentum Customs.
Fans from anywhere in the world were able to bid on the cleats via online auction. The winning bidder received the cleats autographed by the player who proudly wore them in the game.

On October 14th, during the last home game in Edmonton, the Stollery Children's Foundation received the cheque for the collected donations through this program!
As presenting partner for the #CleatsofStrength, we were excited to welcome all the winners of our social media giveaway. They arrived to Commonwealth Stadium right at the practice time! The entire team approached them with greetings and congratulations! We are sure they took home some great memories and emotions along with exclusively autographed prizes!
